ReplyDeleteWhy is it that no matter what he says, we believe him? Was he lying? Is he telling the truth now?
ReplyDeleteThe same goes for Tom Brokaw, on Meet the Press. Perhaps, with Tom, it is because he is the newsman of my time. His voice is soothing to me. (so I believe him)
So...this leads me to the next thought. Other people also believe....in people I think are Crazy!
What makes us believe in one man over another? Is it what he says? Is it how he says it? Is it his looks, his sense of calm (or frenzy in some cases). We all believe in what suits us the best, supports our small-minded belief systems and that is why we have so much turmoil.
Personally I am frustrated by them all, disgusted by them all and disgusted with myself for supporting a system that is NOT WORKING!
O.K. there's my rant for the day. How's the weather your way?
