Should Have Gone to Costco

The streets of Portland are essentially clear. My street, though, is a side street, and is on a hill. It also has a 1-inch thick sheer sheet of ice covering its entire surface. I'm a bit stuck at the moment, or at least until the next temperature bump over 32 degrees.

Meanwhile...

We're out of beer. We're out of diet soda. We're out of sandwich meat.

The situation isn't exactly dire, but I may kill and eat the neighbor just for sport.

I've taken to eating tomato/basil flavored Wheat Thins for excitement.

I think I may hike out tomorrow for help. Or, at least to catch the bus into downtown.

If you don't hear from me, assume the worst.

  1. Hey, there's this really cool thing called "order your groceries online and they will deliver it to you"! :) However, hunting your neighbor might be a fun adventure!!

The neighbors up the hill are nice, and they take care of the dog, so we should leave them alone.

The neighbors down the hill are old and stringy and would not make a satisfying meal.

  3. The G&T household is out of booze? What is this world coming to?

Out of beer, but not anywhere near out of booze. There is still gin, scotch & brandy at least...

  5. Whew! I was wondering how on earth the G&Ts could be out of booze. Hell, you could sled down to Albertson's and get some beer if you needed.

  6. I went to costco. I got a 50 lb bag of rice, a case of Amy's Organic Chili, a book, red wine, porto, scrapbook kit and shampoo. The man and I am golden.
