From the "Things You Will Never Know" File

Sniff hard.

Go ahead, take a whiff

Inhale deeply. What do you smell? What odor is streaming into your nasal cavity, triggering your mighty array of olfactory neural receptors.

Go ahead. What do you smell?

You may smell many things, depending on who you are or where you are, the possibilities are endless.

Well, not exactly endless. I mean, there is one thing you will never smell, and NO, I'm not talking about Christina Ricci's beaver. (Although, I'm certain it smells of sunshine and strawberries...)

No, I'm talking about the inside of your own nose. You will never smell it. You will never in life identify an odor as the stink of your own sinuses. Sorry. Won't happen. Can't happen. It's just not gonna happen.

I suppose there are other things you will never do either, like calculate Pi or find true happiness, but really, the nose thing is the biggie.

Nothing about the President's speech? Come on...we want to know what you thought.

Does anyone think that the Kennedy endorsement is a good thing or a bad thing?

This morning, I went to Starbucks, just wanted a simple mocha to jump start the day. However, the woman behind the counter had on so much perfume it ruined it for me, so that's what I smell this morning, a mocha and way too much perfume.

Oh, the president gave a speech?

  3. The predient's speech? I've made every effort to insulate myself from that self-serving self-agrandizing texas-sized load of Grade-A Bullshit.

His lies are stained with the blood of American soldiers who have died in Cheney's war, who were sacrificed for the sole purpose of inflating Cheney's corporate profits. Bush has spend mor money (mostly borrowed from China)than any other president, republican or democrat, and has skyrocketed the national debt to well-over $9 trillion.

That means that my son was born with a personal debt of of over $30,000 (and growing).

Bush has rubber-stamped Cheney's agenda to expand the invassive power of government through opressive legislation like the "patriot act" and numerous coercive Justice Department memos and reports, essentially stripping US citizens of privacy rights in stark derogation of the US Constitution.

Either the US is a Republic founded upon the Rule of Law or it is not. Bush and Cheny have worked tirelessly to tear down the fabric of constitutional governemnt for the sole purpose of concentrating their personal wealth and power.

This is the same pattern followed by the ancient Romans prior to their fall. We are not immune from the forces of history, and Bush/Cheney are pushing us right along to the brink.

Did I watch the president's speech?? Fuck that treasonous son-of-a-bitch.
