I once swam from Martha's to Chappa. I was staying in Edgartown and looked across and thought, "hey, this looks like an easy swim, I bet I could do it twice while carrying someone." And I did.
So, that's what happened to Mary Jo Kopechne.
ReplyDeleteShe was fine when I last saw her. I swam down and could clearly see her waving at me through the glass of the windshield.
