    Math Test #2

You're driving up hill - 1 mile up and 1 mile down. If you average 30 miles/hour going up - how fast do you have to go on the down hill mile to average 60 miles/hour over the 2 miles?

Like the original math test - you can do the math in you head.

  4. It is, of course, impossible. In order to average 60 miles per hour, you must travel the distance in two minutes. However, having traveled 30 mph on the way up, you have already used up your alloted time.

Having sorted that out, please tell me that you didn't miss the joke. You know, the large hand-written bit...

I never took any math past high school. I am mathematically challenged. Would that be considered algebra or geometry?

  6. How is that possible, Dr. Brian? You have a medical degree. Don't they require you take some sort of math? Even as an art major I had to take at least one class in math as an undergrad. Surely as an undergrad they made you take at least ONE general requirement of math.
